This livery uses the LEAV livery (D-ANNE) and the Sundair livery (D-ASMR) by Atarium as a basis, I applied the windjet colours and livery on top of the mostly white aircraft from those liveries.
Windjet was an italian low-cost carrier, it started operations in 2003, offering flights from Catania and Palermo to Rome, Milan, Paris and Forlì, later it expanded by acquiring more aircraft and adding destinations, in 2008 it became Italy's first low-cost carrier as it transported 2.900.000 passengers, however the company's economic situation wasn't the best, and after a failed attempt to merge with Alitalia the company declared bakrupcy in 2012. After an investigation, the Founder and CEO were jailed with charges of bankruptcy fraud.
The livery represented in MSFS is the latest one, the airframe is EI-DOP, it started life as B-HSF, operating for Hong Kong based carrier Dragonair between 1998 and 2006, when it was acquired by Windjet and re-registered as EI-DOP until the end of its life. In 2012 this airframe was scrapped, and the fuselage is preserved at MLA 2013 as a training tool for Lufthansa Tecnik (according to planespotters.net)
This livery has the correct cockpit configuration, or at least, as close as I could get it considering the limited sources I had (mostly just some pictures and a CVR recording for the GPWS callouts), and my limited skills and knowledge in making liveries. However the real aircraft (as well as all other Windjet A320s) had the EIS-1 avionic (with the CRT screens), so it can't possibly be a perfect recreation.
