This regional airfield package will bring general scenery enhancements using generic and community library objects to enhance your experience flying into some of the most popular charter destinations in Panama.
To install simply place all the folders included in the zip into your community folder. They are all separate sceneries, so you can choose which ones you want to install.
Please check the dependencies and download the required libraries, otherwise you will have missing buildings and objects.
Also please note the Bahía Piñas scenery is not compatible with Kychungdotcom's Panama Airstrip Pack, so you must delete one or the other.
Here's a short description of each airport included:
MPCH: Capitan Manual Niño Airport is an international airport that serves the town of Changuinola and has scheduled flights from Panama City with Air Panama. A few crop dusters are based here and you will see them parked in one of the hangars adjecent to the terminal.
MPSA: Rubén Cantú Airport serves the city of Santiago, capital of the Veraguas province.
MPCE: Alonso Valderrama airport serves the town of Chitré, and has 6 weekly flights from Panama City with Air Panama.
MPGU: Augusto Vergara airport serves the town of Guararé. It is mostly flown to by charter companies and private flights.
MPPN: Penonomé airport serves the town of the same name. Also mostly flown to by charter companies and private flights.
MPFE: Fernando Eleta airport serves Pedro Gonzalez island. It sees little traffic and the runway is in very good condition. Since 2008, the Eleta group has been working on making the place a big tourist attraction by building luxury hotels and facilities in the area.
MPRA: Coronel Raul Arias Espinoza airport serves Contadora Island in the Pearl Archipelago. It's one of the most popular charter destinations in the country and sees flights almost every day.
MPVR: El Porvenir airport serves the small island of the same name. El Porvenir is part of the San Blas islands and is one of the few of these with running water, electricity and a hotel. The ends of the runways are in very bad condition, as the sea has started to rise and the concrete edges of the runway have started to collapse. Make sure to land after the white lines on the edge to avoid damaging your plane.
MPBP: Bahía Piñas is an airport that serves the small town of the same name. It is only about 31 miles from the colombian border and is a popular spot for sport fishing. This airport does not have an ICAO code, so MPBP is what I've assigned in the sim.
MPOA: Puerto Obaldía airport serves the small town of the same name. It is right next to the Colombian border on the northern side and is a rather isolated place. The rwy 35 landing is a bit challenging, having to fly a tight approach bordering the mountains and avoiding the trees right before the runway.
We are very grateful for this great contribution from these Panamanian airports.
