Milviz 310R Template & Paintkit
Milviz released a paintkit containing large Photoshop files with multiple layers which may be
confusing to some. It's my aim to simplify it and enhance ways to create liveries for the 310R.
INCLUDED
1. A template livery folder with blank textures to be used in the community folder.
2. Blank texture PNGs containing all the albedos, shadows, etc. Use these to place your livery on
top of the blank textures and set your created livery to multiply. Export/save as a PNG and convert to DDS.
***IMPORTANT NOTE*** These come baked in with a 30% wear & tear look (around the rivets, joints, etc.)
If you want a clean "showroom" look, you'll have to download the official Milviz paintkit from their
website and use the Photoshop files contained within.
3. COMP PNG files for those wishing to adjust the metallic and shiny aspects of textures.
4. UV files to be used as a guide for where to paint liveries and to make adjustments. (Typically put on a
separate layer on top of the blank textures and set to multiply so you can see the placement of various parts.
5. A basic Blender file that can be used for previewing and/or creating textures.
****IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE BLENDER FILE****
Refer to the screenshot named "NOTE - Cargo and Main Doors.png". Those two art elements were part of
the interior model and I copied/pasted them onto the exterior model to complete the plane, but if you choose to
paint the livery in Blender, you MUST make a separate file for the cargo and main doors each and merge them
together with the corresponding texture file (01 for the main door, 02 for the cargo door).
(If someone knows how to merge the cargo and main doors into the main model without breaking it and only using
one texture each, please feel free to do so and contact me and I'll update the paintkit!)
If you paint in Photoshop, GIMP, or any other image editing program, simply relink the textures to your
newly created livery according to the corresponding filename. You will have to link to the cargo and main
doors separately in order to view the livery correctly.
All the materials in the main model are in the "Redux169" folder of the Armature collection. Cargo and main
doors are in the "Cargo & Main doors & storm window" collection.
Thanks for making it available! Usually I paint in Blender so having it ready to paint without importing the model first is super, super nice. The cargo and main door being a separate file wasn't a showstopper, as I just created a separate texture file and joined the objects in Blender (CTRL-J).
Keep up the great work!
