A repaint request of the Aerosoft Twin Otter based on the Trans Australia Airlines T.A.A. livery
In the download there are 3 liveries as per the request of
VH-TGF 'John Gould'
VH-TGG 'William Wills'
VH-TGW 'Campbell Miles'
Trans Australia Airlines (TAA), renamed Australian Airlines in 1986, was one of the two major Australian domestic airlines between its inception in 1946 and its merger with Qantas in September 1992. During its period as TAA, the company played a major part in the development of the Australian domestic air transport industry. The establishment of TAA broke the domestic air transport monopoly of Australian National Airways (ANA) in the late 1940s, and taking over the Queensland air network from Qantas. It was also at the time TAA supported the Flying Doctor Services of Australia by providing aircraft, pilots and engineers to ensure every emergency was answered quickly. Qantas had also been instrumental in the formation of the Flying Doctor Service.
Thanks to 'Transair' for the request and collaboration supply of photos to work from and with critics to get this liveriy to a stage where it is fit for use based on very old photos that exist which are not many.
Note updated to V1.1 VH-TGW had incorrect registration in cockpit
There's no doubt that some creators/painters can produce top level liveries. This is what Foxybr has done with these Otters. As a perfectionist, he has really mirrored the actual aircraft colour schemes so well. A great effort that I know took a long time, but the results speak for themselves. My thanks to him for these beautiful creations.
