La Cerdanya aerodrome (LECD) is a well-known spot among gliders pilots for its perfect conditions for Thermal Flights. But you can also find Hot air balloons, a Skydive company and a based flight school. The airfield is located 3586ft AMSL in a mountain valley between the Pre-Pyrenees and Pyrenees, covered by snow in winter and very close to Andorra-La Seu Airport (LESU) and Girona-Costa Brava Airport (LEGE).

When Tramontana wind hits the aerodrome, you can find heavy turbulence at mid altitudes, so keep an eye when trying to catch some mountain waves, as you might glide for hours or be very close to the ground!
