Changelog
fixed turn indicator added window icing(body icing ready in later update ) added Wwise soundpack on "racer"liveries (still early WIP) all classic liveries still using original soundset fixed FPS loss issue when on ground fixed a few texture mistakes coding edits/fixes
Change Log V_1.3; Rebuilt Rudder, added extra smoothing to cowl and other edits to model mesh. Added Detail texture to windows for scratches/dirt Removed Lettering from race liveries and modified the overall textures Used different font for classic h1 lettering on livery. Built/Textured new prop blur discs.
Split models into 2 seperate sets, the Classic and the Racer (Slight model texture and fx differences) The Classic set has no aerobatic smoke fx now, these are in the "Racer" set only Edits to both classic and racer set cockpit textures as well as slight model edits to both. Edited bar thickness in windshield center. Edited top of rudder to be a bit more rounded. Added startup smoke fx and modified exhaust fx. Edited aerobatic smokes. Added and edited engine/exhaust heatwave fx.(exhaust heat and main engine heat are 2 seperate fx, and activate at slightly different temps) Added a "hot steel" glow to the inside of exhaust pipes (Activates and deactivates depending on exhaust gas temp) Dano edited the soundset volumes to be a bit quieter in cockpit. (When I get better with the Wwise editor, I will try creating a new soundpack, but for now this set will suffice) Edited aileron and elevator sensitivities a small amount to give a bit more air resistance feeling at higher speeds.
Fixed checklist cam views. Added new landing and nav light models and textures. Fixed missing fx Lights and modifed nav and landing fx lights. Added vibration to engine cowling, exhaust pipes and 1 item in cockpit. Adjusted and modified prop blur textures, models and the speed at which each one activates. Adjusted wheel contact points a small amount. Custom Reg Number Added to dash, can NOT add to exterior because any aircraft other than yours will just show a blank object.

Picked this up a few months ago and it offers a great addition to a virtual hangar, particularly alongside the other Hughes designs available.

One of my favorites since purchase. It's fast, pretty, and a handful to fly. The smoke billowing out of the hot-rodded radial is such a nice touch!

What a cool product. A simulation of the fastest plane in the world . Well done. Needs skill to handle well but fly's well no matter your skill level. I recommend.
thank you :)

i would love to see an actual cabin opening animation like in the flight sim x version. Also i think the engine sounds should be improved, when the engine fires up it sounds pretty good and powerful, but has an abrupt change to a pretty week sound.Prop animation could also need work.Other then that, i love that this plane is available! Keep it up. Sad that there has been no updates in a long long time.

Well done guys, I've been having a lot of fun with this one. It feels good and sound good too. A little suggestion, I know the plane does not have it originally, but could you enable the autopilot?, that way we could do long cross country flights and be able to do some stuff afk, like keeping an eye on the kids for example. It does not have to be in the cockpit, just as an option and we could control it with the keyboard.

Looking forward to future updates that fix the tail design and smooth out the cowling and the sound.

An awesome classic aircraft, these 1930's era planes were really something special. And the H1 Racer really looks, feels and sounds exactly as you would expect it to. Beautiful and shiny, super slick, an absolute beauty to behold! A worthy addition to your collection if you love these shiny, noisy, super quick planes!

To the producers of this item as well as to simmers. This is a delight to fly in MSFS 2020..!!! I had been expecting it for a long time... Honestly, what I did till its appearance, was that somehow I had managed to transfer from FSX the Aerosoft's H1 Racer I had bought a long time ago. I had succeeded with a 90% compatibility. But there were some tweaks I couldn't manage. First because this line of work is Not my cup of tea.., and 2ndly I never uploaded or mentioned anything to the vast community of simmers, since it wasn't "my product"! Once again, this one is so close to Excellent.! For the sake of my personal pleasure and entertainment only, allow me to say that I tweaked the flaps in four positions instead of three, gave it a tiny speed boost, and I used 50% of the Aerosoft's H1 Racer sounds. To my ear, the sound of increased RPMs to gain velocity with this H1 racer product, was of "another flying machine" that didn't quite match.! That being said, I'm eager to follow and buy your brand's quality products whenever is the case. Thank you.
I was about to ask you if you could make your sound changes available to all, but I see that HCG thanked you and therefore hope or even assume, they listen to the complaints about the sound being somewhat repetitive and changing too little when throttling.
To deHaviland I just saw your message.....with a delay of 13 days or so.! My apologies, I was severly down with covid-19 flu version, thus unwilling to touch my MSFS 2020 sim. With regards to applying a more likable to my ears engine sound to the current H1 Racer , all I did was to 1) open both sound files, this one > (...MSFSPackages\Community\HUGHES_H-1_RACER_MSFS\SimObjects\Airplanes\hcg-h1-racer-classic\sound...) and the other one > ( ...the one I liked the sound better...(FSX aircraft sound) 2) copy/paste the FSX sound files to MSFS H1 Racer by renaming them with the exact same sound file name they've got in MSFS H1 Racer. 3) I removed all the initial sound files I was not interested in, of course. 4) I didn't touch neither xml nor cfg file of MSFS H1 Racer sound file. As a result I had the sound that pleased my ears better.!.! Always remaining teachable.., I Hope I Helped.!

Really well done. Sounds great, looks great. It's a challenge with poor visibility on the ground and lots of power, but it can be kept under control. Once in the air it's a joy to fly.

A very nice addon/airplane. Enjoying it so far. The modeling and texturing are good, system depth is very good, everything is here and working as it should and the fuel management is well done. The sounds are good but engine sound, although nice, could be improved. The flight model seems right for this kind of airplane, snapy and sleek, beware to not drop too much power on landing, those nose and radial engine are heavy ;-) On the wishlist for an update: more variation on engine loudness when increasing throttle, lower engine sound when closing the canopy, vor/dme instead of adf and the possibility to add your own registration on the fuselage. Thanks for bringing this legendary speed machine to the sim.
