Jeppeson2001 is proud to announce the release of Niagara Falls City Pack & Heliport for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Niagara Falls spans the border between the province of Ontario, Canada and New York State in the USA.
Formed by the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls have the highest flow rate of any waterfall in North America that has a vertical drop of more than 50 m (160 ft)

The scenery area starts at the North Grand Island Bridge and ends further down the Niagara River at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge.
POI markers have been added throughout the area.

Features:

Niagara Falls - Animated with sounds, mist, and lighting effects. Includes Horseshoe Falls, American Falls & Bridal Veil Falls
Custom 3D modelled Hotels & Casino's of the Niagara Falls City Skyline.
Custom animated rapids, and rapid textures along the Niagara River.
Custom 3D modelled docks on both the USA and Canadian sides. I have included crowds of tourists queuing at the docks to represent how busy the area is. These have been modelled at a very low poly count which ensures that your FPS is not impacted - Please note they are not supposed to be seen at very close range. The people have been rendered in the correct poncho colours - Blue for USA (Maid Of the Mist), Red for Hornblower (Niagara City Cruises), and Yellow for Behind The Falls Tour.
Niagara Helicopters Heliport (CPQ3) has been included with a hand crafted Terminal and interior, along with Hangar, hangar interior, and animated doors.

Animated freight train with sounds. The train crosses the Whirpool Rapids Bridge and passes by the Heliport

Animated Sky Screamer ride with sounds located at Marineworld, just south of the falls.
Animated Whirpool Aerocar which crosses the Niagara Whirlpool and which first opened in 1916.
Ontario Power Generation Station, and Niagara Power Vista Station.

Some notes on known issues/bugs:

This has been a very challenging scenery to recreate as Niagara Falls sits right in-between two world updates (USA & Canada). This along with the fact that it is where two separate photogrammetry areas meet. Consequently this means that in some areas I have been unable to adjust the terrain with any of the current available SDK tools.

Horseshoe Falls has a terrain LOD bug at the base which clears as you get closer.
Terrain humps located adjacent to the Skylon Tower (Part of the Canada World Update) and on either side of the Rainbow International Bridge (USA Update II)
Animated train sinks slightly into the terrain at the curved section of the track.

IMPORTANT!

Both the USA updates I and II, along with the Canada World Update are mandatory for this scenery to display correctly. I have designed the scene in a way that it integrates with Photogrammetry, therefore photogrammetry must be 'ON' for the scenery to display correctly.

- Fixed some terrain glitches caused by an update to the photogrammetry in the region. - Added Niagara Speedway Go Kart track along with animated karts and sounds. This track has been created on a single level due to the way the sim handles collisions. In real life the track has two levels.

- Added x4 cold & dark parking spots at the heliport (ICAO: CPQ3) One of these selectable spots (1H) spawns you into the hangar itself. The other three are named 32P, 33P, & 12V. - Added Brock's Monument located at Queenston Heights Park near to the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge. This Tower memorializing a Canadian hero of the War of 1812. - Added the Sir Adam Beck Pump Generating Station - Improved the terrain glitches in the location of the Welland River where the photogrammetery ends. - Added collision material to the tourist boats - Waving flags at the heliport now point in the same direction. I am hoping to provide a solution where the flags react to the wind direction in a future update. - Fixed a texture bug on the bridge gantries - Multiple fixes & improvements to photogrammetry areas on the river banks - POI Markers height adjusted

There has been a problem with the water level below the falls for some time. In the latest Asobo update the error has finally been fixed!

Use to work great but unfortunately the scenery is now a mess. Must be due to a world update affecting it somehow. Please Devs bring out an update to fix as this is one of my favorite addons. For information I'm still using MSFS2020 not sure if this is the case for 24.

Enjoying the scenery very much, I live close by so it is really cool to see and recognize everything when flying over it. I love flying over the falls on a helicopter sightseeing tour and then pretend the pilot just passed out and I have to take over and bring the helicopter and the passengers back to the base in one piece...LOL (And then get all the news accolades ... hahahaha)

Saw this featured on Belatu's youtube channel and absolutely had to have it. It is truly spectacular. I can't begin to imagine how much time and effort you spent making this look as good as it does. I'd have to say it's the best looking scenery upgrade on the market. I mean there are some pretty ones out there but something as diverse as this -- lights, waterfalls, bridges, active boats with people, buildings. It's incredible man. Fab job. All thumbs up to your work. I'd love to be able to work on things like this.

OLD- UPDATE FIX-Is it possible to have 1 or 2 of the helipads at niagara helicopters changed to just regular parking for cold/dark starts?

Another top tier scenery creation from you. Definitely another 5 star creation. One bit of feedback from me for a future update is it would be good if we could do cold and dark starts from the helipads. I think a majority of simmers prefer going through the start up procedure themselves. Great work though.

Very nice scenery and the best rendition of Niagara Falls for a sim yet. Been there IRL many times and I enjoyed hovering my Alouette places you cannot go. Scenery gets a little wonky up river, but I get the limitations of MSFS. Really like all the details and moving parts.
