Tipton Airport (KFME) - Fort Meade, Maryland, USA

Tipton is a single-runway public airport located 7NM southwest of Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (KBWI). Prior to 1999, the airport was operated by the US Army as Fort Meade Army Airfield, hence the FAA LID: FME. Runway 10/28 is 3000ft long, and traffic patterns are restricted south of the airport. The Washington/Baltimore Class Bravo airspace begins at 1500ft above the airport, and the Class Bravo airspace extends to the surface towards KBWI. RNAV approach is available to both directions of the runway.

Reduced brightness of REIL on both runway thresholds. Placed MSFS Airport Beacon light at the beacon tower, so the light beam is visible from afar.

Many years ago, I took a few flying lessons out of this airport when I lived in Maryland. I think the developer has done a great job and I feel I got my money's worth. I only have two issues and would have preferred to be able to rate it at 4.5 rather than a 4: 1. The flashing lights at the end of the runway are too bright (at least for me). 2. I could only get a decent frame rate after I deleted DRZEWIECKI DESIGN's Washington DC Landmarks. Not sure if their software is interfering with the more recent scenery update from Asobo.
