About this addon
It's time to explore and walk around the entire Cruise Liner, a high-end cruise ship inspired by two classes of real ships in operation, the Queens of the Oceans and the Viking Glory. Walk everywhere! You can walk around the bridge, corridors and internal staircases, dining room, helipad and much more! You can even walk around the ship. Combining two classes means offering the best of two nautical worlds and the result is 28 liveries from real-world companies and operators, or unique classic liveries, such as Brittanic, Titanic, which has been modernized here as Gigantic, Carnival, Cunard Line, MSC, Costa and many others. Explore!
The ship is equipped with nautical navigation systems that include GPS and joystick control functions to operate lights and anchors/pier. Control of the Cruise Liner is managed by a unique control system developed by Marine RM, designed specifically for nautical operations in the Flight Simulator environment using joysticks, bringing an intuitive and responsive interface that takes the maritime experience to the next level between ease and realism. Moving to dock in ports and canals, despite the size of the ship, is not difficult this way.

HOW TO INSTALL:
- Locate the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 installation folder
- You need to find and open the folder called "Community"
- Copy the folder "marinerm-cruise-liner" you just extracted to the Community folder.
- Start the game and the "Marine RM Cruise Liner" will be in its hangar ready to sail!
HOW TO PLAY:
Start the game anywhere in the world on the water or seaplane track, don't forget to check the START ON GROUND option in the flight selection menu before the game starts; Put the engine at 100% and wait a few seconds for the ship to start moving. Water trails start with the slowest speed you are on. The ship has a reverse engine. Click the X button on joystick to activate night navigation lights. Use the flaps control (D-Pad up/down joystick) to activate anchor or pier.
IMPORTANT: Never leave the ship without first activating the anchor and the pier. Sometimes, leaving the ship (Control + C on the keyboard) can take you to an unknown position below or inside the ship. This error occurs because the position reading file to activate the character's spawn does not always place the character in the correct position. This has been configured several times, but in some tests the user may experience the spawn below or inside the ship. Understand that this will be improved and corrected in the future. If you start below or inside the ship, walk to the right, towards the pier that you will climb until you reach ground level (pier) and you can then enter the ship through the ramp.
This ship has a system monitor with function to display default Joystick control configuration with assigned functions.
Use the aileron controls to turn left and right. The rudder controls simulate axial movement control and do not activate the steering wheel animation, only the aileron control activates the steering wheel animation, as it is the main control method.
It is important to note that while sailing on the high seas, the ship may change course slightly in a certain direction, and this happens due to inadvertent action by the game itself, where, at the heart of Flight Simulator, it is not natural for a seaplane to remain on the water; therefore, the ship suffers from some defects designed to affect seaplanes, such as changing course without the user's intention, in a way for the game itself to imitate real life with water currents and wind force. Understand that if your ship changes course slightly in a certain direction, this is not a product defect.

I’ve just bought this cruise ship. As I don’t usually use a gamepad, but prefer a joystick and my keyboard, it took me a while to figure out which controls correspond to the D-pad and the X button on the gamepad. To lower the flaps, press ‘flaps decrease’ and then ‘flaps decrease’ again for a virtual dock. Press ‘flaps increase’ to raise them. To switch the navigation lights and the spotlights under the flight deck wings on and off, press ‘brakes’. Engine Forward/Reverse control linked to the elevator axis. Steering wheel Starboard/Port control linked to the aileron axis. However, I haven’t yet figured out how to stop the engines. The foghorn is activated when bound to ‘gear out’ and ‘gear up’ If you can't hear it, I suggest replacing the sound files for ‘marinerm-tanker-ship-suezmax’ and ‘marinerm-cruise-liner’ with those from ‘marinerm-support-boat’

The visuals are great. However, it is assumed that one knows how to use the controller (I never use for flying or camera). So, I'm lost as to what, exactly, to do with the controller functions--I don't know what "RB" means, or "DPAD". Could someone create a PDF with specifics...like what moves the throttle, etc.? Thanks Also, how can I turn off the vibrate feature on the controller?

As it currently stands, it's absolutely brilliant!! Worth every penny. The external details are delicious and look really good in 4K. I would love to see this taken further!

Hey, could you add the Lobo Marinho ferry from the Porto Santo Line in Madeira? That would be awesome. It would also be great if you could add a horn and also to make the sea trail more epic and long, like in real life. In the future, I hope you can add the gigantic Royal Caribbean cruise ships and improve the windows at night — don’t paint them white. It would be nicer to make them transparent, with some life inside the ships: characters moving around, music, maybe a show, casino machines sounding. I can help you with some of that. I’m a graphic designer, so if you need any help, you can email me at edlerproducer@gmail.com i would help you for free. Just want to make something really good. The simmers community is really perfeccionist, so dont take personally some comments here, they can be mean, but just ignore them, is just fuel, we also need to make the character move inside the boat, while the boat is moving. best regards .

Really cool and fun cruise ship mod. I have noticed that when I use autopilot HDG, my selection is off by 10 degrees. For example, if I do AP HDG Course 100, the ship will go to 90. The ships are cool and would love to see more Royal Caribbean models.

No sound, controls are wonky. I understand that their are sim limitations with drift to the left or right with wind, but surely there must be a solution like trim or lateral guidance? You have to constantly be on the steering to prevent drift, which takes away some of the fun. Also, I didn't see any way to control the lights and functions from the virtual cockpit; just the x-box controller. Is there also a plan to implement an autopilot of sorts where the ship can follow a lateral route?
@nextgenner It's sad that despite the description mentioning all of this, the issues you've highlighted are limitations of the MSFS environment and not a defect in the product, and lowering the rating because of this is disappointing. The light and anchor controls are relative to the wheel brake and flap buttons, assigned to your keyboard or any other controller, and the Xbox joystick is just a reference. Unfortunately, Microsoft/Asobo have intentionally limited the control of watercraft to simulate their real-world behavior, and this is a real pain when using boats and ships. The limitations are: intentional course changes and unrealistic drift. Sound is also a problem; setting a speaker to a 300m vehicle in the MSFS environment is incredibly complex, simply because the codes don't work as they should. The answer I had from Microsoft about autopilot is in the FAQ on my website, I worked for months on an autopilot without success until I got a response from Microsoft on the matter: "Engaging the autopilot (AP) on the ground in aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 can be problematic due to limitations specific to the software and modeling aircraft. These limitations are intentional to replicate realistic aircraft behaviors, where AP is typically engaged only in flight and after reaching a certain altitude. Altitude and time limitations are built into the simulator's internal logic and cannot be easily removed via XML or simple configuration. Modifying these parameters may require adjustments to the simulator source code or complex scripts that are not covered by the standard SDK documentation."

So much fun to use! Thank you! I love having a cruise ship in the game. I hope you make more specific cruise ships in the future :)
@TheShoe Thank you for your purchase and review! I have plans to build smaller cruise ships (less than 200m long) and at least one extra large cruise ship, like the real-life Oasis of the Seas. It's interesting to think about this since we can now walk around the entire deck in third person. I also have plans for a submarine, although unfortunately due to a platform blockage, it is not possible to see below the waterline. As I previously replied to my friend and client Sg9qc, I am building (for early 2025) a big fishing vessel and a small leisure fishing boat for rivers and lakes.
Does this add on work on MSFS2020? Are you planning to release a 2020 version?

Honestly pretty amazing, love the work. However i'd love to know if you'd ever consider making custom and working gauge and other class cruise liners. I'm also a developer and have started on a few models - love to get in contact if you need any help. Cheers!
Hi Simblitz I have plans for a new 400ft Mega Yacht, fully detailed interiors for MSFS 2024, Red Jet 7 Ferry Boat and plans for offshore support vessels and fishing vessels, as well as powerboat and pleasure boats. 2025 will be an interesting year!

Instant buy. This might not be for everyone but I think for a lot of people this is a must have! The dynamic aspect this adds to the sim is great and having the whole oceans to explore! I have wanted a high quality cruise ship for a while. Plus you can explore the Ship in walkaround mode. I haven't tried multiplayer yet but hopefully with the helipad on the top, I think we have a winner! Hopefully more modern Cruise Ships and Ferry's to come!
Sadly the players cant be seen waking in your ship and the heli is still clip through with other players. all in all still amazing!
Dronepilotjames I really appreciate your support and trust! My biggest inspiration is to exceed the expectations of the people who trust in my work The Cruise Liner will continue to be improved and new ships are on the horizon
