Refuge Cove, located on West Redonda Island, is a co-owned community with a well-known supply store for boaters. You can buy ice, groceries, fuel and coffee. On the otherside of the Desolation Sound is Prideaux Heaven, a nice place for boaters and some Campsites, be careful there might be some Kayaks paddling around.
So, take your floatplane out on a tour to the Discovery Islands and join me hopping between these Islands or just sit on the deck with a coffee or a beer in the late canadian sun.
If you are in the area, stop at the other waterdromes as well. See the Map in this package. On Cortes Island I added Squirrel Cove and Mansons Landing (CAV7). Surge Narrows (CAG9) on Read Island, the General Store and the Postoffice is served from Campbell River (see my other Seaplane Base) with a daily Mail Flight. Owen Bay on Sonora Island has besides a seaplane dock a tricky to land wooden Helipad on top of the bridge. Dent Island Lodge with an additional Helipad for picking up tourists who are taking a helicopter shuttle to Campbell River or a sightseeing tour, besides a landing dock.
West Thurlow Islands Blind Channel Resort (CAG6) and the Camp Cordero Fishing Lodge (CAK6) with Helipad! Nearby you find a Logging Site with three parking spots.
Further out on Gilford Island you can find Health Bay (CAD7).
All marinas require my Seaplane Asset Library.
Many buildings and objects are custom made for this package.

Compatible with mamu82s Marinas. If the marinas boats and docks are loaded on top of my scene, you can change it in the content manager by putting marinas in the list above Refuge Cove, so my scene is loaded after - and the docks and ships in the specific areas will be excluded!
In general:
Docks -1- are associated with small planes
Docks -2- are designated for the Beaver
Docks -3- are twin engine plane docking spots
+++ before updating make sure to delete the old folders! ++

I went to Owen Bay today, but couldn't find it. It also doesn't show in the world map.
But I came by the logging site. So I conclude the addon is loaded correctly.

Let me check, Owen is only a POI Landmark on the world map. But thanks for the idea, i added a helipad now to start from the platform ;)
Did my terraforming there today. Refuge Cove will unfortunately take a while, since it’s entirely messed up after SU12 and i have to reshape the entire bay.

Thanks for sharing, i just saw how badly the terraform looks now after the su12. The sunshades and tables are floating.. oh no! Just left town first day of vacation! Will rework the polygons, just looked yesterday at surge narrows to fix a material and haven’t checked all places.

excellent work! I use the AN-2 on floats and really enjoy exploring your sceneries. Very interesting. I spend a lot of time just exploring..(shame the houses are hollow) Anyhow, Great job keep up the super work. One minor question: @Refuge Cove, most assets are floating in the air, not on the terrain. Any ideas? Thank you and Keep building..

Thank you, glad you like it. Unfortunately the last update (su12) changed the terraforming in the sdk. Its better, i hope in the future, but it ruins a few things from the past. I have to rework all the fine areas, everything should be on the ground ;)

Can you clarify how to add the prerequisite textures? Do I just drop them in my community folder like I did this? Or do I need to place them into a folder inside Refuge Cove?

The two folders from my zip archive (jay-refugecove and z30west-refugecove) go in the community folder on their own. First file includes the assets and the second the scenery files.

Very nice scenery addon, many thanks! For an 'inlander' it can be difficult to find his VFR way around. At Prideaux Heaven (which surely deserves its name!) I spotted a group of 5 kajaks and Northeast of Camp Cordero I found the logging site, too. However, I see logs, but the site doesn't look like your screenshots # 8+9. 😞
Is there another 'logging site'? Or does it change looks dynamically (seasons)? I have your lib installed (Dave's and Superspud's, too). And I see small groups of logs in many places, but not a cramped field like in your screenshots.

There is only one Logging site at the moment, but if you follow the road uphill you will find a small site in the woods. I wanted to have something for helicopters too, but it‘s not completed yet 😉

Maybe one thing? One of your folders starts with '30' while mamu82s Marinas starts with an 'a'. Can you rename your '30West' folder so that Marinas will automatically comes below your scenery?
In your description you write that the scenery order is to be done in the Content Manager but I cannot find it there. I used the Scenery Order tool in Experimental settings instead.

Could you create a parking spot at the logging area so we can select it on startup and save a flight and begin cold and dark anchored at this dock? This is more realistic than always having to begin at a water runway with engine running etc.

Hi, yes absolutely. There are three i think, but they are connected with the Camp Cordero. For the time beeing, click on CAK6 and select from there the parking spots at the Logging docks! I will split them in a future update, than it is easier to find :)
