This is a modification to the MSFS 2020 default Asobo C172SP AS1000 aircraft, including the FLOATS and SKIS variant of the aircraft.
This mod is primarily aimed at improving the overall flight dynamics of this aircraft, providing a more realistic flying experience that is much closer to the actual aircraft. Multiple changes have been made to the engine and flight model parameters, and the aircraft weight and balance, which are all detailed in the Change Log file included under the Documentation folder. A full PDF copy of the aircraft POH, the Garmin G1000NXi Pilots Guide, and some helpful tips for operating this aircraft are also included under the Documentation folder. A PDF copy of the FAA Airplane Flying Handbook, which is an excellent real world PPL flight training guide, is also included.
This mod is easily installed by simply unzipping the download file and copying the mge-asobo-aircraft-c172sp-as1000 folder to the MSFS Community folder. It will then replace the existing default C172SP AS1000 aircraft in the MSFS aircraft selection screen, and will also continue to utilize any existing aircraft Liveries. To uninstall the mod and return to using the MSFS default aircraft, simply remove it from the Community folder.
This mod has been tested with the current version of Bagolu's Cessna 172SP Skyhawk AS1000 Improvement mod and they appear to be fully compatible, so they can both be installed without any apparent interference.

When accelerating from stop down from the runway, there is a severe movement to the left, such that when it starts, I am unable to correct it using the rudder at full turn, and the plane leaves the runway to the left after about 3-4 seconds. Is there a problem in the mod, or am I doing something wrong ?
Thanks

Your mod, makes the plane now bank about 7.5 degrees to the right at level flight and during climb. It works ok on the ground.
I am not a real pilot, nor an experienced sim pilot. I have 50 hours of flying in mfs2020 only. My current setup is a honeycomb alpha+logitech rudders. They are calibrated. All in-game assists are off (with autorudder on it still banks to the right). The issue is present at both normal g1000 and skis. I dont own other variants to test. The default 152 version seems to work fine.
I only want to know it this is normal, as I dont want to develop bad habits.
Thank you in advance!

manifest.json still contains: "package_version": "1.2.1", even with the latest version. Should be 1.2.3, right? 😊

Overall great mod. I fly the 172 Nav III for all my training and I have to say the improvements to the flight model and power have made it feel much more like the real thing during all maneuvers. The only thing I have noticed is that the airplane when in ground effect is way to floaty, it makes an ACS short field landing fairly complicated and even though you should never try to force the plane down, its impossible to do so in the sim.

i was wondering if it was just me.

The Cessna Skyhawk that cam with the sim for some reason did not work very well. Since I downloaded your mod. It is a treat to take it up. The stability is wonderful! It taxi's wonderful. Very grateful!

Really enjoying this, thank you! Do you make any sensitivity/reactivity/etc adjustments to rudder pedals, yokes, etc? I'm using the logitech/saitek pedals, and honeycomb alpha/bravo. Everything (in every plane) feels soooo sensitive, but I can't seem to dial in what seems like it should be reasonable. Thank you for any advice!

Thanks for the great rating... Yes, I do reduce the sensitivity of the elevator, rudder and ailerons at small deflection angles near neutral. This is done in the flightmodel.cfg file with scaler parameters for each aircraft that I modify. The MSFS controller sensitivity settings for my Alpha yoke and Logitech pedals are linear, except for some small dead zones at neutral to eliminate jittering. I can send you a screen shot of my controller settings if you want.
