Centrally located in the heart of the beautiful Southern California coastline, Oceanside is considered the gateway city between metropolitan San Diego and Los Angeles. Located on 70-acres in the San Diego County area of California, the Bob Maxwell Memorial Field (KOKB) at Oceanside Municipal Airport is a general aviation airport featuring a one runway (2712ft), Transient Parking and fuel services.
As for all of my MSFS mod, this small scenery is made from a pilot-eyes perspective. I'm french PPL and San Diego Plus One Flyers member, mostly flying from Montgomery Field (KMYF). I'm real PPL but a rookie amateur scenery developer: this mod is made with 99% of MSFS default objects library and feature massive number of details. The scenery is inspired by high resolution aerial views from Bing and Google maps. It's a mix between the satellite imagery displayed from MSFS and more accurate data found on Internet. 1000+ objects have been added to the default scenery to make in more live and bring a touch of an active area.

Another great airport, well done. I made a quick little video of the approach, it's actually a cool little glide path into the runway between two hills, quite fun.

Thank you so much for this airport and the other SoCal airports you have done, I have them all! Any chance you could tackle Camarillo KCMA? A much beloved airport in SoCal, famous for the annual airshow and a great breakfast restaurant! Plus nobody has created it yet..

Very nicely done, with great attention to detail, as usual. Thanks for this and your other fabulous contributions to the community. I like the animated flag. Even ORBX still utilizes static flags which always breaks the immersion for me. I did notice it seems to fly with a 90 degree offset from the true wind direction though? Not sure what library that's from, but I do know the Windy Things Library flags fly pretty true. I've been using them to replace static flags as I come across them here and there. Anyway, I digress. Nice work here. Thanks!

Thank you. Glad you enjoy it. The flag I picked is one of the default library (after WU2 and WU10). I do my best not to be external library dependant. I suspect it's animated but not by the wind at all. So, it doesn't show the wind direction ;(

Thanks for adding this little known northern San Diego airport! Looks pretty good, except for the removal of the drive-in theater. That is right under the flight path and currently is just a big off-color rectangle that overlaps roads - the color doesn't match the surroundings, so it really stands out. Other than that, thanks!

Hello MojaveHigh, thanks for the comment. I "removed" the drive-in theater as the autogen MSFS system build the 3 white screens in weird manner. The theater has been destroyed according to last satellite images and online news : https://osidenews.com/2016/07/26/removal-drive-screens-first-step-re-established-citizens-better-oceanside/
So I just add a terraforming polygon to remove the 3D autogen vertical objects. But I didn't create any APRON with a texture/color (you mention color that doesn't match). See: https://i.imgur.com/B5eEtSN.jpeg
I had to investigate for this weird colored rectangle and finally maybe decide to replace the satellite MSFS picture with something. What do you think?
