Installation:

1. I've provided two means of installation. Installing all the liveries at once or each livery individually. To do so, simply open the corresponding folder and install the PTP files you'd like with the PMDG Operations Center v2

2. By default, all liveries have light to moderate cockpit weathering. I've also provided cockpit textures with more extensive weathering (the pictures of the cockpit previewed above are the "extensive weathering"). To use more extensive cockpit weathering, open "extra cockpit weathering" and simply drag and drop the contents into the "...Packages\Community\pmdg-aircraft-737-liveries\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-700 SWA (NXXXXX - HT)\texture.WN-NXXXXX" and override the current files. These may only be used for liveries from this package and will NOT be compatible with other liveries.

Fantastic liveries! Can't wait to see what you release next! These Southwest liveries are amazing, the weathering detail is FANTASTIC! I'm really hoping you do N230WN (Colorado One) at some point as the one I've seen on here is good, but it just seems off. Thanks for all the great liveries though!

I prefer this cabin textures that the default ones by PMDG. How can I use your cabin textures for other liveries?

If you would like to have my cabin textures as default, you will have to replace the default cabin textures located in the "...\Community\pmdg-aircraft-737\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-700\texture.common" folder. I strongly advise against this as any updates from PMDG will override the textures and it's usually best to leave the default textures alone. Another way is that you can add the textures and their corresponding .json files to each individual livery and re-generate the layout.json file once you've added the textures to all the liveries you'd like.

Are there any reasons or improvements I should add that would warrant 5/5 stars?

My favorite livery(ies) for the 737. Just wish you would create separate downloads for at least the "standard" ones since that's all i'm interested in, that way i can keep updating them without downloading 2.2 GB 😞

Or maybe if you have a link to your external website where i find them separate?

I appreciate your review but I'm confused as to what you're referring to. I've put some thought towards trying to find an overarching solution for livery packs. Some people want every single reg, others want only specials, some want only standard, etc. I unfortunately don't have a dedicated website nor would I have the funds nor time to run one. Personally, the method I've currently got with having a "all-at-once" installation and "separate" installations gives the user the most control with what liveries they want installed-- with the only drawback being the download file size. If I come up with something new, I'll be sure to retroactively come back and update my previously released liveries

No biggie, no rush and no pressure. I think i confused you with someone who posts liveries regularly on PMDG's discord channel and he happens to have a website where you can download his liveries. I honestly thought you were him. Regardless, thank you for this beautiful livery and the worn interior adds a lot to the immersion. Like i said, my favorite 737 livery!

You'll pick which .ptp(s) you'd like to install (all the liveries at once, or individually) via the operations center. Hope this helps!

These liveries look great, but unfortunately, I get CTD every time when using them. Something that has never happened with the default liveries.

I'm unsure of why that could be or what could be causing CTDs. Try uninstalling the liveries (using the operations center should be fine for uninstalling, but deleting the files themselves within "...\Packages\Community\pmdg-aircraft-737-liveries\" also works) and then reinstalling the package.

It's the PMDG pushback tug through the FMC menu. Within the ground service panel, there's an option to toggle a tug and that's where it'll show up. Hope this helps!

Would you consider painting the ADF antennas (https://aerocorner.com/blog/types-of-aircraft-antennas/) blue as well (for example on N555LV), since most Southwest planes actually don't have them. Unfortunately there is no option to remove them completely...

When Southwest had ADF antennas installed, they were painted usually black (sometimes white). For that reason I'm assuming if they were installed on Heart -700s they'd consistently remain black or white (sometimes they would paint certain antennas but they seem to be moving away from that trend)

Half of star for my 20 minutes of life while I was searching for how to install this online. If it is so hard for you to create an installation manual it is here below

Because not everybody here knows how to install liveries with the PTP files, and your manual just goes: "install PTP with operation center".

Installation instructions:

Download the livery
Download the PMDG Operation Center by clicking here
Inside the OC, click Aircrafts and Liveries > Livery Utilities in the menu
In the bottom left corner, click on "Install from PTP file"
Navigate to the file you just downloaded
Let it process the file until it tells you it's finished
Launch Microsoft Flight Simulator and enjoy!

The method to install PMDG liveries has not changed in over a decade with their operations center. I'm presuming users of the PMDG have either read the manual or already know how to download liveries. PMDG also released videos in advance of the NG3 explicity detailing how to install liveries (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38ayTakUhV4&ab_channel=PMDGSimulationsOfficial) for those who haven't used PMDG products before. I regret that you didn't know how to use the PMDG operations center but I fail to see how that concerns the quality of my livery nor deserves a low star rating. I explicity did not select "drag and drop" as a feature, as with every PMDG livery, it should be installed via their operation center.

I'm sorry that you were unable to have a seamless experience installing this livery. However it appears that 585 other individuals had a perfectly fine time making this work, meaning that you are the 0.2% of people who struggled. Perhaps you should leave a 5 star review for the excellent quality of this livery pack rather than one star for your own incompetence. Best of luck installing other liveries!

Not sure why this is his problem? Seems you're the odd one out here who doesn't know how to use the PMDG ops center. I have never used the PMDG ops center for liveries before but I was able to figure it out on my own.

It´s sad to see reviews like this.

We spent a lot of time into creating liveries in a high quality including cockpit and cabin details and many improvements to the base textures.

In the end it gets downloaded a lot and there is just a few people taking some seconds to say "thank you" in the review section. However seeing this is just making people sad. A review should review the livery and not the installation instructions for a product. This is decribed in the developer manual and has only to do something with PMDG.

I don´t understand why you reviewed installation instructions and not the livery.

You got all informations from the developer coming with the product.

Think about the time invested here to give you a outstanding Southwest livery and change the review for a file review.

You can add it to yours when you get a "simmer" like this who can fly a complex airliner, but doesn't know how to install a livery correctly, and wants to blame you for not coming to their house, installing the livery for them, setting up all their controls, and dusting their keyboard while you're sitting there.

I even commented about this very thing when I posted an extensive write up on how to work with PMDG paints in MSFS...here

I encourage you guys to grab a copy of this and include it in your uploads, and feel free to copy any of my detailed instructions I supply as well. It is crucial that you leave no reason for a simmer to post on your repaint, that you didn't include proper instructions on how to install.

Not that its hard mind you, but sadly this community seems to become so entitled (i.e. too lazy to figure it out themselves...or gasp...read the included manuals!), that if they had it their way, they'd have you come over to their house, install it, open MSFS, load the flightplan, configure their controls, and and ask you to do everything short of actually flying the darn thing!

I have both your Southwest Canyon Blue liveries and this one. I was wondering if you could make one small correction? It seems some of the wing textures use the 737-800 wing exit design (dual arrow exit paths), instead of the -700 with a single arrow over wing exit. Would you be able to update this? Also, really love the work done in the cockpit and interiors as well. Really compliments the spectacular liveries!

Southwest 737-700's use the dual exit design even though the -700 only has 2 emergency exits. Search up a an aerial shot of a heart -700.

Southwestguy already commented on it but that's actually correct! Newer and repainted Southwest -700s share the same overwing exit design as the -800s/MAXs. Hope this helps!

Yup....I ran across the same pics when I was doing SWA for the iFly 737. I had to do a double-take and said...."OMG....I guarantee that when simmers see the dual exit they will think its an error." I wish I could forecast the weather so accurately LOL.

I've actually already done Canyon (though I'm working on a minor update for it). Southwest planes get flown pretty often and get beat up so I wanted to show that with some weathering. I'll take another look at the weathering when I come back and update these liveries

Yes! I've got some Fenix paints I'd love to do; albeit most of them are IAE or have Sharkles so I'll likely be waiting for that. As for United, once I get through some more SWA paints I definitely can take a look at United
