KCMH - John Glenn International Airport Version 3.6

(All Three Packages are Included in One Zip File)

Serving the fastest growing city in Ohio, KCMH is a vital link to the state capitol and Ohio State University.

In this version, all runways, taxiways, and taxiway signs have been corrected. The main terminal and concourses A, B, and C have been modeled along with the new ATC tower and parking garage.

No interiors have been modeled at this time. I am allowing some of the auto-gen buildings to draw until I have their replacements modeled.

This version includes some new ground textures, edits to existing buildings, and the addition of the Geodis Logistics/Republic Airways building on the south side of the field.

Big difference in this version is the addition of the History Objects package that adds 1930-1940's objects to the Southeast portion of the airport that includes the historic Port of Columbus terminal and hangar from 1929.

New parking has been added for the historical area of the airport. These parking locations are "Southeast" parking in ATC and includes SE GA Small spots 1929 through 1935.

Visit the Historic area using your vintage aircraft of choice and post screenshots!

This scenery pack contains two (3) packages: kcmh-john-glenn-columbus-intl (the airport infrastructure, runways, taxiways, etc) AND mpw-kcmhbldg (buildings and other scenery objects) AND mpw-cmhhistoricobjects.

Installation:

1. Extract KCMH36.zip and copy the contents into you community folder....Don't forget to remove older versions

Hi, Any chance that KCMH can be converted over P3dv5 format or is this strictly for MSFS? Could I add the folder that has the airport proper to the Add-On folder for P3dv5?

Is there anyway you could add jetways for gates A19 and A21? I walked down the A19 jetway so many times.

Amazing freeware scenery. I know your highest priorities are getting the airfield infrastructure accurate, and I agree that making it realistic should be first. But, do you have plans for the future to model an interior? I just think it would be very cool to see, kinda like the KCLE freeware. And I would love to see some over details like the NetJets hangar, the new rental car garage, the giant banner on the south side of the field, and potentially even custom jetways with airline logos. I also noticed that the fire training aircraft in the sim is actually a building shaped like an airplane, which I actually thought was pretty funny, but something to note. Overall tho I love this scenery and those are just minor detail suggestions. Keep up the good work.

Thank You! I'm a former Flight Attendant for Shuttle America (S5) was based in CMH. Was wondering if there were any plans for the RAH (Republic Airways Holdings) maintenance hangar? S5 is no longer, it was absorbed into Republic Airline in 2017. We flew for Delta Connection and United express; would also be great to have some ramp parking by the hangar aswell.

3, 4, and 5 are straight in as looking at the 2022 aerial photo from Franklin County Geographic Information Systems data....my gate 5 might be a little angled...I'll fix that some day. Thanks.

Update Dec 5, 2022.....I, along with some others, have noticed some textures missing on the terminal buildings. I have identified the issue and will be putting out a revised version very soon. Sorry for the inconvenience. I was updating some of the models and it appears that I forgot to turn back on some objects during my last update.....I call those IO errors...."idiot operator" errors. Anyway, my version 3.5 will have those fixed along with a couple more hotels on the "In Field". Peace and Joy, and thank you for downloading and your feedback.

Updated from an older version. Tried both overwriting files and a clean fresh install but the B Gates have see through textures no matter what. It's mainly only the white exterior paneling that is invisible. Edit: It looks like weird backface culling or something
