The third part of my Indian Bush Trip Series is all about Pakistan. The islamic republic was founded in 1947 after the Indian Subcontinent became independent from the British. Pakistan became the state for the muslims and India the state for the Hindus. Today Pakistan is the worlds fifth-most populous country with a population of over 225 million, so prepare for some more Megacities! Pakistan is also full of historic places like mosques , tombs, forts etc. and the landscape is very diverse as we will visit not only the banks of the dominating Indus river but also the highlands of Balochistan at heights of 10.000ft! This trip will take you all the way from Amritsar near the Pakistan-India border to the Arabian Gulf to the country's largest city of Karachi. Enjoy your flight!

Places you will visit on this bushtrip among others:

  • The 10+ million megacities of Lahore and Karachi and many other major cities.
  • The capital city of Islamabad with the famous Faisal Mosque
  • Pakistans oldest city Peshawar
  • The Indus river, the longest river on the whole Indian Subcontinent with many scenic dams and barrages
  • The highlands of Balochistan with its regional capital city Quetta near the border to Afghanistan
  • The Mangla Lake and Khanpur Lake in the north at the southern outskirts of the Hindu Kush mountain range

Flight Length:              2934 km

Flight Duration:           9:02 h
