About the scenery:

The Faroebridges - or in danish - Farøbroerne - consists of two bridges, linking the islands Zealand and Falster, by way of the small island Farø. On farø you will find a resting place, ans a cafeteria. The danish Road Directorate has an office here too. The Farø bridges were finished in 1984, and opened for traffic in june 1985.

The link is important for the traffic from Central Europe/Germany - and the Scandinavian countries.

The Southern bridge crosses the Storstrømmen (Great stream) between Farø and Falster. It's a cable-stayed bridge, with two pylons. The bridge is 1,726 metres long, and the span between the pylon is 290 metres. The Maximum clearance under the bridge is 26 metres. The height of the pylons reaches 95 metres.
