EGYI - Lincolnshire Gliding Club
Lincolnshire Gliding Club is situated at Strubby Airfield (South) in Lincolnshire, west of the coastal town Mablethorpe. The airfield has one large runway, half concrete and half grass, formed from a former runway of RAF Strubby. Gliders from Lincolnshire Gliding Club should be aware of traffic from Strubby Airfield (North), which is a private airfield with an asphalt runway on a former taxiway of RAF Strubby.
During it's operational time, RAF Strubby was home to the Lancaster, Beaufighter and the Vickers Warwick. The airfield was under the command of RAF Bomber Command, but also homed a RCAF Sqn during WWII, operating the Beaufight X.
Strubby Airfield (South) is a great place to fly, situated just to the west of Mablethorpe and to the north west of Skegness, it offers a great gateway to exploring the East Coast of England.
The model has been created using only MSFS standard SDK objects and so should work for all users. The airfield is a work in progress and I am open to advice about how to make the airfield as close to life as possible. I hope you enjoy the airfield! Any reviews or donations for the airfield are greatly appreciated.
Please Note: this airfield has been designed to work in conjunction with the package 'EGCG - Strubby Airfield', which can be found here.
