EGXH , RAF Honington, England for MSFS2020.
Update 1.2
-Removed tree on taxiways
Update 1.1
Fixed floating runway hold short lights.
About the scenery:
The scenery recreates RAF Honington as it was in the early 1990's as a Tornado base.
The scenery will get updates over time including expanding the ground poly to behond the flightline such as roads and car parks.
The scenery contains:
-Full custom objects with photoreal textures from various visits to the base
-Static Tornado GR1 and GR1A's
-All objects include PBR textures
-Full night lighting including custom taxi lights using the latest airport lighting system features in the SDK
-Full custom ground poly/projected mesh
-Terrain is using the latest mesh from the UK update
The static models:
Big thanks to John Young at MAIW for allowing me to convert his excellent JYAI Tornado models for placement in the scenery.
Paints are from John Young who painted them originally as AI for the scenery and include both 13 Squadron (GR1A) and 45 (R) Squadron TWCU (GR1)
Installation:
Download EGXH.zip for scenery with statics and EGXHnostatics.zip for scenery without statics.
Unzip the file then drop the EGXH folder into your community folder
Community folder can be found in your: "Users\username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community" folder
This scenery requires you have the UK world update installed for the terrain.
If data is turned off and offline mode is used, then some trees may dissapear and other appear where they are not supposed to.
Known limitations:
- The runway and approach lights are default due to limitations of the SDK
Acknowledgements:
- John Young for his excellent Tornado models and paints
- Ricardo Morillo (LVFR) and Pete Beeby for there excellent concrete and asphalt textures.
- Stevo Legg for his superb 1980's car models

Amazing transformation, what's also amazing is to see it in its 1990's form. Imagine seeing other MSFS 2020 airports in their old form like an option to switch between past and present day.
I've featured your work in my latest video along with Dave Garwoods amazing Hawker Hunter.

Excellent job. Takes me back to my early years of work.
Honington and Coningsby (HonCon) were our standards divs at Wattisham where I was based late 80s/early 90s. Actually, Wattisham (or WhatAShame) would also be a good one to do with the HAS sites, 56 and 74Sqn F4s, Q Shed, SAR Sea Kings and Bloodhounds

Fantastic. Looking forward to this if you've got more planned. If you're taking requests if you can do the same for Lossiemouth my money is waiting to be spent on it.
Only issue at first glance (ive not even moved from the hanger and I'm already impressed - Only confirming SU8 working) If you can address the parking spots inside the hangers it would be very very appreciated (Tornado in a Tornado is a bit odd). I think we may be able to work together if you're a fan of Tornados and know who I am and what I'm up to 😉
You may see a tornado flying there and not on the ground. Maintaining radio silence though 😉
Looks fantastic keep it up!

Hello
This is a very Nice Airport scenery! The problem is the static models aircraft.
When I add military traffic these slots have these models that they added. These parking positions would have to be changed, otherwise the parking positions would be assigned twice. Otherwise you did a very good job! 😉 Greetings from Military KI Traffic Founder Arend Thiele

Absolutely top drawer A+ quality no doubt about it and a great base for some of the Military planes available for the sim. Lots of time and effort has gone into this and it shows

Hi my friend, what a great product you’re bringing to a free market. In the future are there any plans to upgrade your product?
Also are you planning to do any other RAF bases.
I’m a digital painter on planes, and the Justflight Hawk sits really nicely at this base.
This is my default base I fly out of pretty much all the time So I do hope you will continue with your work my friend, as this base may not be compatible in future with world updates etc and that would be just sad 😔
Fantastic product and I love taxing out from the hardened aircraft shelters and aprons. Makes the experience feel so real.

Fantastic job Ian, I was stationed at Honington 1986-87, before I managed to escape back to Germany again, with a second tour at RAF Brüggen.
Here's some footage of your excellent work, thank you!
