V2.3 - Cleaned up some of the ship models (texture fixes and reduce vertex count). Added collision materials to helicopter landing pads on Ticonderoga cruisers, Burk destroyers, Nimitz carriers, LSTs and supply ships. So yes, you can now land on the helipads.
V2.2 - Additional clean-up.
V2.1 - Cleaned up excess foliage. Unsunk dry dock areas near 52nd St. Revamped sub base.
V2.01 - Cleaned up random foliage. Added supply and cargo ships where appropriate.
V2.0 - This is a complete revamp of this scenery package replacing all google based models with skethup models from 3DWarehouse. Also added hand modeled Los Angeles class submarines. And yes, I know it's not currently in service, but I added a couple of Oliver Perry class frigates.
NOTE: You should delete the old version from your community folder, start the sim, exit the sim, then install this new version. That will ensure the old google data is removed and will save you about 30MB of disk space.
V1.2 - Updated to correct for any modellib.bgl conflicts
V1.1 - Fixed some issues created by the US update. Should be good to go now.
V1.0 - Updated US Navy models in and around San Diego, including
- Rosecrans Submarine base
- Los Angeles Class attack submarines
- 32nd St Naval Shipyards
- Ticonderoga Class cruisers
- Arleigh Burke Class destroyers
- San Antonio Class amphibious transport ships
- Freedom Class littoral combat ships
- Independence Class littoral combat ships
- Wasp Class amphibious assualt ship
- North Island Surface Shipyard
- Nimitz Class aircraft carriers
Note: There is no update to the North Island Naval Air Station (you won't see any F18s or F35 parked)
If you like this, check out my Washington State and Norfolk VA Navy packages. Also, there's a great Pearl Harbor package available from Projectionist

My only suggestion is that you give the ships individual hull numbers and it would be perfect.

If I did that, the size of this file would quadruple. Since this is a flightsim meant to fly at 1,000ft+, I don't think that's worth the hit on sim performance.

First, let me say as a native San Diegan I can't tell you how much this is appreciated- the default ships in MSFS were truly an eyesore. Not anymore!
I was halfway hoping to see an improvement in the rendering of the Star of India on the Embarcadero. But I realize she is not a naval vessel, and falls well outside the scope of this wonderful offering.
Regarding the Star of India, if some artist at some point fixes this ship(wreck) I think all San Diegans that fly over our hometown will love it-
Thank you for your beautiful work!

I love to see that with this download I finally have aircraft carriers in MSFS, but in the next update or some other future update, could the carriers be differentiated so that instead of them being both the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) it would be that one would be the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) and the other the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) for example? It would be more realistic if that could be done.

I could, but that would mean adding one off library assets to each of these packages (SD, WA and NF), which would do 2 things... increase the size of each download and force the sim to load in additional model assets, both of which would hurt performance. Not a big deal if you're running a top end system, but for those who have low to mid tier performance... I don't want to add too much burden to their already stressed systems.

Also a minor thing -- the ships in image 6 of 6 seem to be reversed (closest two).
